  Not too far off the main road, and a short 1/4 mile hike from the parking lot is this hidden example of nature at its extreme. Three creators were formed relatively recently in geologic history when it's thought that hot magma came into contact with underground water, causing it to boil and blow tons of rock and dirt away in large steam explosions. Be sure to follow the markers on the dirt road to the parking area where the two trailheads start. The climb to the first two creators is gentle to moderate. The third takes extra effort to get to.
